Cluain council meeting 16th May 2026
Meeting started at 5.20pm
Present: Ed, Bess, Florence, Gerrard, Nathanael, Melissa, Emeline, Domenego, Maerwynn, Alyenora, Rudiger, Li Hua
Apologies: Sithech
Bess moved to accept previous council meeting minutes. Nathanael seconded. One abstention. Passed unanimously
Reeve (Florence):

Current balance is $10,425.37
·
A few payments coming in from Dumpling Feast
·
Children’s’ bows payment needs to come out - pending receipts
·
There is a new draft Reeves Guide to Events
·
Need to check on refunds, kingdom levies and event memberships for St Sebs
Captain of Archers (Deputy, Gerard):
·
Two longbows ordered, but haven’t arrived yet.
·
Two events in Hamilton so far, and haven’t had more than Gerard and Florence yet attending. Plan to try through to the end of the calendar year.

Gerard proposed we give the school a $200 koha for the 2026 year. Nathanael seconded. Passed unanimously.
Armoured Combat Marshal (Li Hua):
·
6 in armour at most recent heavy fighter practice. Doing well. One of the fighters about ready to authorise, probably at the August monthly tournament.
·
Next monthly tournament likely to be in August – will communicate this to Ildhafn.
Seneschal (Bess):
·
E-mails now successfully coming to Bess
·
May want another officer so we can more easily make quorum of 3+, possibly A&S
·
Will get chatelaine-mail redirected to seneschal for now
Upcoming events:

Booking form set up, 10 bookings have come in already

Confirmation from site that we definitely have booked it

Bid has gone through via e-mail and bookings are open

Haven’t hear from their Highnesses yet if they will attend

Could be good to have another newcomer event, perhaps in September

Li-hua has volunteered to steward

Three Brothers has LVL that could be used for beams for the awnings at Canterbury Faire. Rudiger proposed that up to $100 be spent on buying LVL wood to make the new beams. Nathanael seconded. Approved unanimously
