Cluain Council Minutes Date: 16/08/2025

Present: Nathanael, Rudiger, Aleyenora, Dominego, Sithech, Melissa, Li-hua, Bess, Ed, Florence (late)
Meeting started at 2:14pm
Melissa motions to accept the previous minutes. Nathanael seconds. Passed unanimously
Marshal (Dominego): Warrant extended. Need to advertise for the position. Regular training happening. Fencing has started (1 meet-up so far). First monthly tournament happened in Auckland. Dominego has been authorised as a marshal (pending paperwork). At least 1'new authorized fighter. Auth cards still in transit? Follow up required.
A&S (Sitheach): Some residents of Cluain won River Haven's online A&S challenge to finish unfinished item. Out of the 9 winners, 3 were in Ildhafn/Cluain. Music workshop weekend is happening.
Captain of Archers (Geoff): Advertised for position. Geoff sent monthly report.
Reeve (Florence): Balance is $10,071. All payments for Dumpling Feast have gone out except Kingdom Levy. 7 people still haven't paid. Need to reimburse one family that's paid twice. Want to re-imburse someone who had a family emergency. 2 are newcomers who it would have been their first event came on Sunday - want to reimburse them also. Florence motions to reimburse these people. Nathanael seconds. Passed unanimously.
Need a third signatory! Ed has volunteered. Need to sort paperwork. Nathanael motions for Ed to be a signatory. Rudiger seconds. Passed unanimously.
Seneschal (Nathanael): Advertising for position - role up in November. Please apply!
Events:
Dumpling Feast: Li-hua sent reminders to non-payments - 4 responded immediately, one later. Will follow up again with the people via text. Need to verify with Florence who of them have paid now.
Labour Weekend: Been advertised. Bookings are coming in. One confirmed feast cook. Some offers for second feast cook. Need to follow up about pricing of rope. Rudiger & Aleyenora will bring infrastructure down in September as won't be at event.
Fighting/Heavy tournament & potluck: September heavy tournament will be in Cluain. Next one in Hamilton will be Feb/Mar. Eureka hall available for $50. Li-hua wants to request $50 from the council to fund the hall rental for this month. Melissa seconds. Passed unanimously.
Pasta making workshop: Potential date early November

Rope: No costing yet. Need to give deadline about rope pricing. Deadline next council meeting. Nathanael will send a Facebook message. If rope sorted, Dominego may be able to pick up from Sherwater.
