Council Meeting held on 19 September 2020 @ Eureka, Hamilton
Present: Michelle Deakin (Seneschal), Nate Broussard (Reeve), Melissa Broussard (Webwright), Roger Win (Marshal), Liz Brodie, Jeanette Reid (Chatelaine), Duncan Reid, Sue Whitby, David Whitby

Meeting opened: 2:20 pm
Officer Reports
Reeve – Nate: Bank balance is approximately $6,206. Zero is now completely set up. Zero and Excel have been maintained in parallel, will ask the Kingdom Exchequer if we can now go to Zero only.
Two applications were received for the Reeve’s role. Michelle to advertise the commentary period.
Webwright – Melissa: Nothing to report. Haven’t received any applications for the Webwright position. Will check spam, just in case.
Marshall – Roger: Weekly fighters practice continues. No armouring has occurred.
Herald – Trent: Not present.
Chatelaine – Netty: Nothing to report. Haven’t received any applications for the Chatelaine’s position.
A&S – Michelle: There will be an Arts and Sciences competition at the Labour Weekend Living History event in October 2020. Has been suggested it is run as an online competition if we move up the Covid-19 Alert Levels.
The Winter Workshop Weekend scheduled for 15-16 August 2020 was postponed due to the country moving up Covid-19 Alert Levels. Will be rerun at a later date.
Seneschal – Michelle: The Medieval Garden fundraiser at Hamilton Gardens is scheduled for Sunday 14 March 2021. Waldorf’s Medieval Carnival is scheduled to be held Saturday 27 March 2021.
One application has been received so far for the Seneschal’s role. Applications close at the end of this month.
General Business
Labour Weekend - currently has 18 bookings. Setup day will be held on Sunday 18 October 2020.
Market Day Event – Melissa and Nate thinking of running the Market Day followed by an Inn Keeper’s dinner and games evening in December 2020. Planning to enquire if it’s possible to hire the Old Lodge on River Road.
