Cluain Council Meeting held on the 24 March 2019 via Discord

Minutes of the Previous Meeting
Minutes of the 16 February 2019 meeting passed as a true and accurate record.

Agenda
Web Wright’s Report - Melissa
Made a few fixes to the website.
Working through issues on the scalable images for smartphones.
Planning to upload images from St Sebastians.
Need date for April Hastilude to put onto website.
 
Reeve’s Report - Nate 
Current Balance $8,300 will be approximately $5,000 after St Sebastians receipts reimbursed.
 
Arts & Sciences Report - Liz
A&S Officer role to be advertised on Cluain’s emailing list and Facebook page by Michelle. 
St Sebastians travel competition won by Mistress Katherine Kerr for her map.
St Sebastians seating competition won by TH Baron Rudiger Adler for his savonarola chair.
 
Marshall’s Report - Roger
Have added a coat of plates to loaner gear.
- Connor to try it out for two weeks.
Five combatants entered the St Sebastians heavy fighters tournament. 
- Master Bernard Sterling won and TH Baron Rudiger Adler came second.
Trent has been reauthorised as a heavy fighter, by Master Bernard Sterling at St Sebastians.
 
Chatelaine - Jeanette
No new contacts received via Cluain’s website or Facebook page.
Currently keeping in contact with one interested party and advising them of upcoming events.
 
St Sebastians
Report from the Stewards is attached.
For future events, to include bakers assistants, and maintaining fires for bread oven and cooking hearth on the chores roster. Will also provide bins for toiletry items in the port-a-loos.
Due to the numbers now attending, Dave and Sue will hold a survey amongst the populace to see if there is a need to provide temporary showers.
Will use Labour Weekend event to upskill people in fire cooking & using the bread oven as these have become an integral part of the event.
 
Dave proposed we fully refund Chantelle & Shelley their St Sebastians event fee, as they were unable to attend due to circumstances outside of their control. St Sebastians will still close with a profit.

Seneschal’s Report - Michelle
Waldorf School’s Medieval Faire, 31 March 2019.
Site map showing our location in Village Area not received, to be followed up by Michelle.
Liz and Roger will provide their tent for use in the Village Area.
Netty and her family will run children’s boffer. Will need list field.
Wulfing Household are running archery based activities.
Trent, Roger and Ethan will do several, short, heavy fighter combat demonstrations.
Michelle to run calligraphy and to think of something else. 
- Will also bring Cluain business cards and pamphlets to hand out.
Liz will play the harp.
