Minutes of the previous meeting were approved by Ed and Roger as correct.

Labour Weekend

  • 33 bookings have been made so far and around 40 are expected as the total for this event. There’s 1 week left for bookings.
  • Ed investigated how to preserve and store bacon and has started the process. Ed and Michelle will discuss the food plans after this meeting.

 St John’s 2016 – Roger

  • Awaiting the final report from the steward (Trent).
  • Also need Ed’s bank account number to reimburse for the pewter tokens.

 Coronation Bid

  • Nothing more has been heard about the bid for Mid-Winter 2017 yet. Once it’s confirmed the Seneschal is likely to need to e-mail for help needed.

  

Officer’s Reports:

 Reeve – Roger

  • Roger yet to sort out Ed’s Westpac on-line banking. Ed may need to be an Administrator for the account with his pending Seneschal role.
  • Roger presented a report with the opening balance for the month and the closing balance of $4653.30 as at 8/10/16. Commitments approved but not yet spent/reimbursed include serving spoons, plastic crates, business cards, St John’s tokens and levies. The final St John’s report is needed for confirmation of attendance numbers for levies.
  • 18 people have paid for Labour Weekend so far.

 Marshall – Roger

  • There were 5 people in armour at a recent practice: Grim, Rog, Nathan and Connor plus newcomer Paul who unfortunately is busy at weekends.
  • Adam Bazeley has decided that he’s not going to do SCA heavy fighting and wants to sell his kit. Rog is to look at this and assess if it could be bought as loaner kit for Cluain.

 Herald – Alex

Nothing to report.

 Seneschal – Netty

  • Final meeting in the role as Ed will take over at court at Labour Weekend.
  • Reminder that quarterly reports are due.

 A&S - Ed

  • Liz is to ask to be added to the A&S list when she contacts the Kingdom A&S officer re taking over the role (which will be at Labour Weekend).

  • Nothing to report.

 Chatelaine - Sue

  • Norm hasn’t contacted Netty re garb so Sue to contact him to check if he might want to attend upcoming events.
