Activities archery
Archery is one of the most popular activities in the Canton. Naturally we use traditional equipment such as longbows and wooden arrows and shoot at a wide range of interesting targets to emulate period archery practices.
Each year in autumn we hold our St Sebastians event, dedicated to archery, where we have archery workshops, archery games and challenges and a competition to decide who will hold the title of the Barional Archery Champion for the coming year.
The best way to get involved is to turn up to our monthly archery practice in Kihikihi near Te Awamutu. Contact the Captain of Archers for the address and directions (it is held on private property).
