Have-a-go-day

·         59 people booked. 36 adults & 3 children for the feast. 32 newcomers, and 9 fairly new people. 18 regulars

·         Most people have paid. $850 in the account so far

·         Someone registered as a SCA member, but put “none” as their SCA number

·         Activities

o   Pewter is available for casting – would need to think of a costing for heavier items like spoons (gold coin)

o   Leather 101 – need leather. May want to consider purchasing leather for Cluain as we have done with pewter and tool steel

o   Heavy have-a-go – need list field. Green and white list field can be brought indoors – good choice. Ed will bring heavy rope. Will alternate heavy and boffer.

·         Lanterns for table settings – Rudiger will bring tea lights

Labour Weekend

·         Ed has submitted a bid for labour weekend. Council approved over e-mail. Needs to go through the SCANZ channel. Rudiger proposes acceptance, Maerwyn seconds, all approve. Will be the last royal event for kathryn and Ratbot

Ed: Proposes Cluain to buy vegetable tanned leather for tooling for a cost of ~$400. Seconded by Florence. All approved

Actions:

  •  Check back with Hamilton Canvas
  •   Put Ed back on council listserv
  • Get Ian signed up with bank so he can authorize payments – still need to get Rudiger, Netty, and Ian physically together to do this
  • Buy leather for Cluain

Meeting closed at 2:50pm.
