 Officers’ Reports:

Reeve – Roger

The last quarter balance in the end.

Currently approx. $5,200 in Cluain’s bank account, but about $1,000 will need to be paid out once profits and levies from Coronation, the workshop weekend and Labour weekend are sorted. Roger to show Sam how to do this in preparation for him taking on the Reeve role.

Marshall – Roger

Cluain’s website has been updated with current fighters’ practice details. Nathaniel (new member, previously from Southron Gaard) attended practice this week and 5 people have been in armour at a fighters’ practice.

There is 1 complete set of loaner armour belonging to Cluain and 2 helms are on semi-permanent loan from Ildhafn. Roger needs to chase up making more helmets.

Well done if you’ve been paying attention reading these minutes so far… keep reading to find a potential reward.

A&S Officer – Liz

Netty has restarted the sewing group and 2 of the newcomers attended on Friday. The sewing sessions will be held on Fridays and some Sundays.

Herald – Alex

Too sleepy to comment due to moving house.

Chatelaine – Sue

Several newcomers planning to attend Hastilude, including the couple who have moved up from Christchurch.

The second person to comment on these minutes on the Cluain council e-mail list will receive a sweet treat.

Web wright – Ed

Cluain’s website seems to be working well at present.

Quartermaster – Netty

The stock take of Cluain group belongings is ongoing and will continue after this meeting.  The list is being compiled as a google spreadsheet for reference.

The canopy for the bakery is not waterproof beyond 20 minutes despite waterproofing treatment being applied. Ed proposed replacing the bakery cover with better canvas at some stage, but this won’t be essential until the next living history event, which isn’t currently scheduled. Roger reported that 60” wide waterproofed linen can be imported for $21.50/m at present.

Matters Arising from Previous Minutes:

Coronation

All Ildhafn items given to Roger and Liz by Sarah and Rob have been returned.

Any other business:

Sam checked the plans for change of reeve and was advised that the commentary period finishes on 24th November, so handover should still be at St Cath’s.

The sweet treat will be chocolate unless the winner objects and prefers cheese.
