Medieval Have-a-Go Day

Cluain is hosting a Medieval Have-a-Go Day for those interested in learning about the different activities done in the group. The event will be held at Karakariki Camp, just outside of Hamilton. Bookings are now closed!

Come join us for a fun day of hands-on archery, combat, games, music, fire cooking and medieval crafts! The price includes lunch with a medieval feast to end the day.

Garb (costume) is preferred but optional for this event. It's best not to wear hired costumes but we can try to arrange some garb for you if you'd really like to wear something more authentic or just try your best with what you have (There's some tips about costuming here)

There is an option to stay overnight in the bunkrooms if you want to take more time to enjoy the atmosphere, with a relaxed day planned for Sunday. There will be more medieval food and time to play games, discuss or work on projects or talk with knowledgable people about anything medieval or SCA.

On the Newcomer's page there's general information about what to bring and what to expect. And if you have any questions feel free to contact the Chatelaine
